On Saturday evening, heavy thunderstorms dumped inches of rain near Northwoods Mall, stranding vehicles and prompting a flash flood warning (vehicles reported at 6:15 p.m.) for North Charleston, Summerville, Goose Creek and nearby areas until 9:30 p.m.

A new targeted drug doubling survival time is now available in Charleston for pancreatic cancer patients.
Terri Truere (6.6 to 13.2 months) is the first to receive daraxonrasib under an expanded access program, as doctors hope the treatment will allow more patients to become eligible for surgery.
